What does this mean “Flute w/c foot offset G key Model #BC 6010″?How is different from normal concert pitch?

I own many different instruments but am planning on buying my first flute.
This is the description I saw for a used flute, is it an alto flute? How does it differ from a regular concert pitch flute?

Ok a few things
Off set G is a means that the ‘G ‘ keys are seperate or off set from the other keys. The keys are built on their own rod Like this photo http://www.mostlywind.co.uk/inlineg.html
They are used for people with generally small hands esp the ring finger on the left hand

Most regular flutes are in C like the piano. But the alto flute is in G (fourth lower then C) Generally if it was an alto Flute it would say on the description!

Normal concert pitch Flutes have different ‘things’ you can get with them e.g off set G, Split E , Some say that all these extras make it esaier to play but others disagree! I am not sue if alto flutes can have these variations!
